My experience with Tara Luizzi of tara styles dc was truly special.

She was very flexible in terms of time and meeting location.  We met out at the Leesburg outlets, and I believe she came all the way from DC!  Tara truly knows her stuff.  She took the time to listen to my story (a recent 70 lb weight loss) and take into account my current style and the types of places I tend to go out.  I explained which clothing styles I typically purchase, and what tends to catch my eye.  However, without dismissing my usual shopping patterns, Tara helped me to understand the value of good quality well-made clothing, and that often is better to spend a little more.  But, she also respected my budget.

We worked together to select some very nice ensembles.  She taught me how clothes should fit on my body, and how most guys around the DC area walk out the house under-dressed.  I learned the importance of layering and color choices.  By the end of the day, I had new clothes for work, play and the club!  I loved the new me.  It was a very fun day hanging out w/ Tara.  It felt like two buddies out on a shopping spree through the outlets!  Tara is worth every penny.  She stays on top of the latest fashion trends, and knows how to adopt them to the person.

As a man, I was reluctant to use a personal stylist.  After all, I thought (and most men feel this way), I know what I'm doing - it's not hard to pick out men's clothes.  Well, Tara really opened my eyes - I had no idea how much I was missing.  She helped me select great clothes and combinations, both casual and business, and we had a great time doing it.  Tara also was very considerate of my personal tastes - while she encouraged me to expand my horizons, she never pushed any outfit or piece on me that I wasn't totally comfortable with.  Finally, she was a great help in getting clothes that fit properly - a much harder job than I ever realized.  Tara's great, and I'm happier with my wardrobe than I ever have before.
